Employment.

The minimum wage will be increased to a living wage and enforced; non-compliance will entail mandatory custodial sentencing.

Remploy factories will be re-established.

Unemployment black spots will be given priority in the Green new deal. Individuals unemployed in these postcodes will be provided with free travel to search for gainful employment.  Short term accommodation and ongoing support will also be provided should employment be found. Training in industries where we’re short of skills, expertise and resources will be prioritised.

The contributory link to unemployment benefits will be re-established; those with long employment histories will be provided free UK travel to accomplish a little bucket listing.

All parents of school age children working five-day weeks will have Friday afternoon off.

Plans for a universal four-day week will be drawn up.

Those over the age of retirement still in employment will be provided with support to bring forward their retirement; to make way for working aged people.  Those approaching retirement will go onto increasingly reduced hours to become accustomed to having more free time.

Restaurants will no longer be allowed to harvest their staff tips, when added to electronic payments.

Implement the recommendations of the Bill Grimsby report. Central government to subsidise cluster trades, industries and attractions in the regions; somewhere the eight Wren churches destroyed in the blitz should be re-created.
